Richard Carew (1555-1620) was a writer and antiquary, his grandsons, Alexander and John, both died in the Civil War. Of related interest is "The Devon Gentleman" by John Wagner the story of Sir Peter Carew (c1514-1575). Bumped corners and head of spine else book is Very Good, jacket is creased and heavily rubbed but no loss.
