An excellent biography of the queen of a coterie of young and elegant enthusiasts including the leaders of the Gironde, who was guillotined in November 1793, havng spent five month's in prison. On hearing of his wife's death, her husband, a former minister of the interior, two days later committed suicide by falling on his sword. NOT EX LIBRARY A1C. Good/No Jacket.
