All copies are signed by the Author. This is number (here there is a blank space where the number of the limited edition would be and the wording reads) Copy Specially Printed for Lt-Col. Harold Solomon. (then Gide has signed). Written on front paste-down "Bought second-hand at Stonehaus' Liverpool St. October 8th 1936 by R.B Gentle (followed by his address)" Signed copy is written in pencil on front fly leaf. Internally all pages are immaculate. Bound in green cloth with gilt lettering. Identical bumps to edges of both boards on fore edge about half way down. Small split to cloth slightly higher up the fore-edge on front board. Small bump to top edge of front board. Light wear to spine ends. A very attractive copy. Very Good/No Jacket. Signed by Author.
