Autochrome Views of Blackpool and Fylde District
Bradford, Views Ltd. First Edition. Soft Back, Landscape 4to - over 9¾" - 12" Wide. Ill.: Views Ltd. 12 printed [metal engravings using more than one plate] pages in colour from original autochromes. Slight creasing in one place at rear of each page but shows less on the front. Art-paper cover in a burnt-umber colour. By 'Views Ltd' of Bradford. Here are Blackpool's parks, pleasure gardens, tower, wheel, beaches, waves etc includes an image of Nelson's Flagship ' Foudroyant ' wrecked, finally, at Blackpool - November, 1897. Beach at Lytham with windmill..Signed by previous owner I. or J. Sutcliffe 1903. [thus these are really early examples from the Autochrome process that wasn't patented until 1904]. Cover a tad soiled with age but pages generally bright and clean. Very Good/Cover Good.
