Kirkintilloch, Lion Foundry Company Ltd. Sixth Edition. Hard Cover, Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. Blue cloth covers with titles to front and spine and lion rampant to front, some rubbing to extremities. Rivals to the famous Walter MacFarlane & Co. the Lion Foundry was responsible for the London Hippodrome and Blackpool piers but interest in wrought iron buildings fell away and it was eventually reduced to work for British Telecom, folding when the last red telephone boxes were ordered in 1984. The catalogue has a full page photo of the factory, touched up prior to publication to make the Forth-Clyde Canal look idyllic,and 336 pages of ironware. Less fanciful than Macfarlane, you won't find a pavilion advertised, but more than a catalogue. Very Good.
