"Cumberland will not be remembered for his non-dramatic verse, although he wrote in a number of poetic genres, beginning when still a schoolboy. At Westminster School he translated into blank verse Virgil's description of the plague among the cattle from the third Georgic, thinking well enough of it to reprint it in its entirety in the Memoirs (pp. 49-51). He tried his hand at epic poetry, blank verse, odes, elegies, songs, and pastorals, a number of which were published in his Miscellaneous Poems (1778). The most ambitious of his poetic efforts were Calvary, or, The Death of Christ, a religious epic (1792)" (Oxford DNB) , Good. Offered for GBP 35.00 = appr.
