An Historical Account of the Curiosities of London and Westminster, in Three Parts
London, J. Newbery. 1755, First Thus. Contemp Full Calf, 12mo. The book contains a general title, which mentions each of the three parts, and then each of the three parts has its own title page, the Tower of London section is dated 1755, and the other two sections, Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral, are both dated 1753. Internally, the book is in very good condition, with some occasional light spotting, and with the upper corner broken on the last leaf, but with no loss of text. The upper joint is entirely broken, and the lower joint and hinge are tender. A previous owner has stabilised the damage to hinges and joints with an early version of archival tape, but the volume really needs to be recased. The head and the foot of the spine are chipped with loss. Vg Internally/N/a.
