First Grand Miscellaneous Concert Oxford University Musical Festival

The programme is fairly typical of its day, being extremely long and divided into two acts (sic), and including a wide variety of music, some being extracts, some being complete. One item by W. H. Callcott was composed expressly for this occasion. Other composers represented are Haydn, Linley, Handel, Rossini, Nicholson, Meyerbeer, Horsley, Gluck, Donizetti, Weber, Beethoven, Spohr, Knyvett, Mozart, Ghys and Cimarosa. Vg/N/a.
