The upper wrapper is a coloured representation of Beethoven's death mask, but all the internal illustrations are monochrome photographs of musicians and dancers alive at the time. The portraits include Toscanini, Mitja Nikisch, Eugen D'Albert, Bruno Walter, Alma Moodie, Richard Strauss, Stravinsky, Erich Kleiber, Von Reznicek, Leo Blech, and Fritz Kreisler. The corners are slightly bent, and the top wrapper is lightly soiled, but the internal photographs are all in excellent state, and the calendar is mounted on heavy card, with the hanging ring still in place.
