. Full Calf Silver Mounted, 70mm x 55mm. A very attractive example of 19th Century Florentine book souvenir market. The book is cleverly mediaevalised, with a completely unlettered leather binding with exaggerated raised bands on the spine, and disproportionately large silverplated mounts on each corner of the boards, and a clasp over the foredge. The endpapers are typical 19th century Florentine floral paper. The contents are entirely unmarked apart from a date, 1890 and the name Cleopatra on one leaf, both in pencil. Fine/N/a.
