The cloth is faded on the spine, frayed and chipped at the top and tail of the spine, corners are slightly bumped and slightly worn, the lower hinge is weak, there is some scattered internal foxing. At the foot of the spine is stamped Newcomb, Boston, whom I presume to be the binder as on the front free endpaper is a blindstamp saying 'JM Newcomb Bookseller and Stationer, Boston'. Loosely laid in is a poem about old Boston church by a lady called MA Wighton of Boston, printed in 1893 in the lady's 81st year. Maybe this is a hitherto unknown piece of Bostoniana!. Very Good.
