London, Novello,Ewer & Co. 1873. Folio with music .Pictorial colour (Red) lithograph cover with a torch and a fireman's axe and a small snake interlocked with the first letters. Originally published in Berlin .The title refers to a French ballet by Hertel -Flick and Flock which was popular in Paris and was later brought over to England to the Royal Alhambra Theatre ,London in 1873. The English version by Paul Taglioni & P. A. Hertel was performed on December 26th 1873 and was a Christmas Pantomimic Ballet starring the dancers DeWinne and Josset and with Mesdames Pitteri ,Ritson, Sidonie. Folio size with music. Condition VG .
