Aide. Aide(1826-1906) though I can find only scattered information on him, had a theatrical obituary notice in the 1st Who's Who 1912 . I know that Virginia Gabriel set a lyric of his to music in the 1860's and he also was known later for composing and writing Blue Eyes or Brown Eyes and Remember or Forget and finally Johann Strauss ll set two of lyrics which were used in Die Flaudermaus(1876).Aide had much more success with his play Doctor Bill for George Alexander which played sufficiently well for Alexander to take the St James Theatre as his London base.
