The lyric writer was the noted female poet Adelaide Proctor(1825-64) and the composer is also the publisher John Blockley(1801-82) who constantly set poetry to music usually by the most famous poets, hence his songs were very successful . Trimmed date top right corner, November 21st 7?. Some foxing along the outer edge.
