Albert Chevalier (1861-1923) was originally an actor who was considered to not only faithfully represent the cockney but wrote some of the great songs of the music hall in doing that. Here he collaborated with Charles Ingle who was his manager and also his brother(real name Auguste Chevalier). Loose stitching down spine else VG+ the original 4 page article that appeared in the Idler Magazine in June 1892 and replicates the lyric and the pictures of the sheet music. Condition VG.
