A very good copy. Robert Armin (c. 1563 – 1612) was an English actor, a member of the Lord Chamberlain's Men. He became the leading comedy actor with the troupe associated with William Shakespeare following the departure of Will Kempe around 1600. Armin's name is inserted in the list of actors which follows the dedication by Heminge and Condell of the folio of 1623. Also a popular comic author, he wrote a comedy, The History of the Two Maids of More-clacke and translated The Italian Taylor and his Boy from the Italian of Gianfrancesco Straparola. The Nest of Ninnies was first published in 1600 and 1605 as Fool upon Fool and reissued under the new title in 1608. All three of these editions are very scarce. In this work Armin shows himself as a performer interested in his craft and offers the wit of assorted natural fools, some of whom he knew personally. Images sent on request.
