London, [1920]. FIRST EDITION, Simkin & Marshall, [1920]. 4to, 255 x 190 mm, 10 x 7½ inches, cream cloth, illustrated and lettered in dark green, gilt and black pictorial endpapers, 187 pages. Colour frontispiece and 10 beautiful colour plates, many charming line drawings in the text. Head, tail and corners slightly worn, few tiny nicks at head and tail, 10 mm split at head of lower hinge, neatly repaired, upper hinge slightly worn with 2 pinholes, spine slightly marked, green lettering on spine rubbed with slight loss of colour. 1 plate reinserted, slightly worn and slightly dusty at edges and 1 small closed tear repaired, not affecting image, occasional slight foxing, mainly to top and lower margins, 4 pages have larger fox spots in fore-edge margins. A very good copy. Images sent on request.
