FIRST U.S. EDITION, 257 x 232 mm, 10 x 9 inches, cloth backed tartan boards with large colour illustration, tan endpapers, no pagination. Illustrated title and 24 wonderful colour plates all of dogs. A West Highland White relates his daily life and encounters with other dogs. Head and tail slightly worn with tiny nicks to cloth, cloth slightly wrinkled, corners slightly rubbed, board edges very slightly worn, small bookplate on front endpaper, neat name on half-title, half-title foxed, very occasional faint foxing to text pages, small pale mark to 1 margin, occasional very slight faint fingermark. Contents very nice. Very good copy. Images sent on request.
