FIRST EDITION, 250 x 190 mm, 10 x 7½ inches, blue cloth illustrated navy, gilt, cream and green on upper cover and spine, gilt lettered upper cover and spine, 185 pages. 12 very attractive mounted colour plates, black and white text illustrations. Spine just very slightly darkened, very slight wear to head and tail, tiniest bump to lower front corner, 3 mm pink spot top edge upper cover, gilt bright on upper cover and spine. Occasional very slight pale fingermark to margins, 4 very short closed margin tears, max 15 mm, all expertly repaired. A very good plus copy. The first edition with its light blue covers illustrated in gilt and colours is rare. Images sent on request.
