Binding in very good state, corners very slightly rubbed, couple of small ink spots to 1 margin within, otherwise contents very nice, binding tight and firm. Overall an excellent copy of a scarce work on gastronomy. See Bitting, Gastronomic Bibliography, page 277: 'A most comprehensive and valuable book on the history of the table.
