Hard back binding in recent half navy morocco retaining the original deep scarlet boards, five raised bands to the spine with gilt title and author lettering, original green and navy patterned end papers. 8vo. 9½'' x 6¼''. Contains [xx] 123 printed pages of text. Double page map showing a Plan of the Ancient British Monuments in Grimsby drawn by Rev. W. Smith and engraved by Consitt & Goodwill, Hull. Two monochrome plates. 1 of 275 copies with List of Subscribers, Charles Lord Yarborough, to whom the book is dedicated, taking 12 copies. A little finger soiling to the margins, couple of foxing spots, professionally repaired tear to page 119, without any ownership markings.
