The Trial, at the Instance of Duncan Forbes of Culloden Esq.; His Majesty's Advocate, and Mr Hugh Forbes Advocate, Procurator-fiscal of the said High Court; Against; Against Duncan Grant junior Merchant in Inverness, Evan MacKinnon Shoemaker there, John MacDonald Messenger there, and Murdoch MacRae Horse-hirer there.' The two trials concern the death of Hugh Fraser whilst on board a small boat at sea off Nairn. The boat was intercepted by another, bearing customs officers and some soldiers. Two of the soldiers, Long and MacAdam, were subsequently executed for Fraser's murder, Presentable, complete copy in later plain buff wrappers.
