Two bound volumes, with numerous supplements, notably the one devoted to the building and floating of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Great Eastern Steam-Ship, or the Lev published by William Little, London, 1857. volume 31 has 656 pages with numerous black and white engravings throughout, one large fold-out illustration of The Queen's Opening of Parliament, 12 single pages of very fine coloured engravings, and 2 double-page coloured engravings. Several of the b, first editions, both covers a little mottled at edges, vol 30 has bumping to head and tail of spine with some fraying at top corners, slight rubbing to gilt on spine, very good condition, vol 31 has fraying to head of spine with 3 small holes in cloth at spine, corners, original green cloth covers with gilt lettering and decoration on spine, same to front cover with blind stamped margins and decoration, all edges marbled, Folio, Hardback.
