Oxford, 1804 2 works in 1 vol., 32mo., binding measuring 3 7/8 x 2 1/2 ins; neat early nineteenth century signature and neat early twentieth century inscription on blank preliminary; strongly bound in contemporary full straight-grain roan, sides with decorative gilt frame border to a floral design, back tooled in gilt with five floral rosettes between elaborate floral gilt rules, gilt doublures, gilt edges, marbled endpapers, binding lightly rubbed and worn, extremities lightly frayed (but most gilt entirely legible), a most attractive copy in period binding. With separate title and pagination to second work. The words to the evening hymn beginning 'Glory to Thee, my God' are twice inscribed in a neat and scholarly nineteenth century hand on verso of least leaf and rear blank preliminary.
