[For the Regiment, 1950] Sm. 4to., First Edition thus, with 5 maps (2 double-page) in the text and rear endpaper maps, neat contemporary signature on front free endpaper; holland, upper board lettered in red, covers very lightly age-soiled else a near fine copy. A composite history, comprising three parts. Part I (1650-1914) was written by Marker in 1907 (published 1907; re-issued 1916), Part II (1914-1918) by Dawnay in 1923 (published 1923) and Part III (1919-1950) by Hill in 1950. The work as a whole is edited by the Earl Lucan Includes brief details of VC winners, some statistical comparisons between WWI and WWII, and bibliography. Uncommon in this condition. White, p.43.
