London, Hodder and Stoughton. 1964, First Edition. Cloth, 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Slesser was the Deputy Leader of this expedition under Sir John Hunt. As well as breaqling new gorund by being the first mixed party to climb in the Pamirs, and the ascent of The Peak of Communism at 24,590ft, the expedition is notable for the tragic loss of Wilfred Noyce and Robin Smith to whom the book is dedicatede. Well illustrated with photographs, this is a very good copy, not inscribed or price-clipped. Near Fine/Near Fine.
