Sale catalogue of the library of Secousse (1691-1754), a member of the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres and an editor of historical documents. He amassed a library of books on French history which was particularly strong in ephemera. At the auction, the majority of the library was purchased by Joseph Tauxier. Lonchamp and Olivier record that La Valliere also bought heavily at this sale. Provenance: T. T.
