"The evils now generally felt, may be chiefly attributed to the insufficient number of polling places; the unnecessary length of time allowed by law for keeping open the poll, and the frivolous objections and protracted discussions occasioned by the practice of interrupting the poll, for the purpose of deciding upon the validity of disputed votes." Parliamentary papers of this period are rare. Provision of their sale to the public were not made until 1836.
