ODNB ’... In the 1890s the Abrahams produced the first photographs of climbers in action, which were soon in demand for illustrations for books and guides ... Around 1900 the brothers planned to produce a guide to Snowdonia but here they ran into obstructive secrecy and resentment over their intrusion into the area from the leisured classes who made up the majority of climbers in Snowdonia and looked down on the Abrahams, who were in trade. Nevertheless, [the above work] was published in 1906 ...’
