Oxford, Chart Publishing. 1932, First Thus. Buckram, 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall When Folded. Unfolded, North Sheet is 100cm x 64cm, South Sheet is 100cm x 75cm. Maps are on a scale of 1 inch to 8 miles. A dozen or so places around Kent and Sussex are circled in pen. Accompanied by a 12mo 64pp Index and Route Guide to Map: England and Wales with Useful Information for Motorists. All contained in a slipcase with gilded title; v sl corner rubbing. Map covers, Index cover, and slipcase are all bound in maroon buckram; some v sl superficial marking; the maps are mounted on cloth. This edition shows 'Aerodromes, Landing Grounds, and Seaplane Stations; various coloured symbols distinguishing whether they are State-owned, for Public-use, or Private.' The Index Guide to Map lists these Aerodromes, etc. as well as placenames on the maps. From the absence/presence of particular aerodromes, the maps can be dated to about 1932.
