London, The Popular Book Club. 1955, Book Club Edition. Green Cloth, 12mo - 7.5" Tall. Written under a nom de plume. True story of a young woman who, at the end of the Second World War, gave up her work in Britain as an atomic physicist and joined the Allied Commission in Austria as an interpreter in order to search for her brother who had disappeared in Germany at the outbreak of the War. During this time she was given the perilous and top secret task of tracing Germany's top atomic physicist and two of his colleagues, all of whom had disappeared at the end of the War before the Soviet Intelligence located them. Binding relatively clean and tight with some rubbing to extremeties. Pages are clean except for an inscription to the inside cover. DJ is complete with some relatively minor nicks and tears. 216pp. Photographs available on request. Good++/Very Good.
