The half title: "Contemplations. The First Booke.. By Jos. Hall D. of Divinitie, and Deane of Worcester. Imprinted at London in the yeare 1634." There are infact 21 further titles contained within this collection of Hall's works. Slight irregular staining throughout. The final leaf is damaged with 10% loss, affecting 10 lines of text. The last 80 leaves have been carefuly strengthened, the degradation of the paper somtimes affecting the marginal notes. 19th century cloth binding with later re-back. Overall a well preserved book.
