Signature of "John Grogan" to tile of Vol.I. Light toning to some pages, endpapers more so. Contemporary calf. Spine with 5 raised bands and red leather title label( "Chatham's Life") and black leather volume label. One of the boards to Vol. II. differs slightly from the others and may have been replaced at some time in the past. Compiled by the Picadilly Bookseller and Publisher John Almon, (1737-1805). Who was widely active as a political jounalist. A well preserved set.
