Crimson morocco covered boards with gilt decorated border and central gilt crest: "Leamington College A.D.1844. Gilt dulled and edges lightly rubbed. Spine with 5 raised bands, gilt decorated compartments and title :"Siege Of Gibraltar". Gilt rubbed and dulled. All page edges gilt. Original yellow endpapers. Prize label to the verso of the front board: "Leamington College. At The Examination Christmas, 1848.. Awarded to L. Bonar" . Neat dedication to front endpaper: "Presented by Miss M. Bonar 5 Oct, 1944. To Leamington College Library." Each book with a separate title-page. Clean English text in double columns. A very good book.
