Pp.xxiii/black & white portrait plate/engraved frontispiece/100(Book I)/54(Book II) /51(Book III)/5(index) /4(addenda).Two folding plates and another 2 plates with illustrations of coins and medals. Inkstamp of John Appleby to title page, broken line mark down front free endpaper (from clear covering to dustwrapper?). Red cloth, gilt title to spine. Dustwrapper has a fixed protective clear wrapper and there is minor edge wear. Plus associated paperwork belonging to John Appleby including correspondence with Dr Alison Shell of the University of Durham. Scarce. VG/VG.
