All paged edges gilt (now dulled). Inner gilt dentilles. Marbled endpapers. Previous owners details to front free-endpaper: Mary Atkins; John Quartermaine born December 5 1800; & Jane Quartermaine Born December 5 1800. Fine engraved title page: "Printed for William Dawson, Paternoster Row, London. The whole set engraved by G. L. Smith of Cross Street, Hallon Street, Holborn. Published according to the Act of Parliament January the 1st 1773." Followed by a printed title for T. Wright and T. Gill. Clean text throughout with 51full page engraved plates, Referenced by Griffiths: 1772/6 & ESTC T87241.
