Oxford: At the Theater in Oxford, 1713 . 8vo. 19cm x 12cm x 1.8cm. pp.[14pp.]/pp.226/[2pp. - "The Contents."] . A very good original binding. Full calf with gilt panelled decoration. Spine with 5 raised bands and recent black leather title label. All edges gilt. Inner gilt dentilles. Marbled endpapers. Engraved armorial bookplate to the verso of the front board for the "Weston Library" with the motto: " De Bradford Arma Comitis". Engraved frontispiece by "Burg", followed by printed title with a cut of the Theater. Light toning to frontis and last leaf, otherwise very clean text throughout. A very good book in a very good binding. From COPAC: "The whole duty of man" is attributed to Richard Allestree. Sometimes also attributed to Lady Dorothy Pakington, Richard Sterne, John Fell, Humphrey Henchman, and others. The frontispiece is signed: burg. sculp, i.e. Michael Burghers.".
