First Edition. 4to - over 9Â¾" - 12" tall. Book, Near Very Good copy in green cloth on boards with 1/4 calf spine and calf corners. Rubbed on corners and spine. Glorious colour frontis, which has small pencil inscriptions. Rear colour plate with gilding. Contents include marvellous b/w illustrations of contemporary (c. 1895) children's fancy dress costumes. Top corner of introduction page missing. Also one character cut out from p. 18 and p.32, otherwise clean and binding sound. Excellent source for costumiers and designers. Scarce.
