Neat calligarphic inscription on front endpaper. The 12 full-page chromolith plates to the Parables are from sketches by H.R. McEniry, illuminated texts vary in color & style of artistic calligraphy by Lewis Hind. The rich wide chromolith borders are from the BREVARIO GRIMANI in St.Mark's Library Venice and have much gold and vivid colors. The color printing is by one of the Victorian most famous printers Cooper, Clay & Co. A very lavish gift book production internally in very nice conditon.
