Small corner of FEP cut away and front inner hinge split. Very slight pale foxing but very clean and crisp. Riecke was a regimental doctor to the Prussian Royal Cadet Corps and this study of Typhus was made with regard to the incidence in both war and peacetime. The importance of clean water but also the changes in living conditions, uniforms, food hygiene, personal cleanliness are also considered and some suggestions for prevention given. The table at the end gives the statistics for deaths from various diseases, suicide, drunkeness, etc.
