Octavo glazed pictorial semi-limp card (spine nearly split/small tears without loss/corner creasing). Inisde of covers is advertisement for drinking tea +(16 further pages) slight marks from rusting of staples, corners creased & one with corner torn off (less than 1cm). Travels to many countries with stereotyical prejudicial remarks. Scarce - Fox early children's books website page has cover illustration, last at Auction Bloomsbury April 2005. *Carruthers Gould worked as a political cartoonist, illustrated a Struwwelpeter Alphabet and many other books.
