London, Ernest Nister/E.P.Dutton New York #2798 1910 approx Chromolith illustrations (6 full page) by Rosa C. Petherick + orange & red illustrations some full page to all other pages. . Square octavo green cloth spined glazed pictorial boards (tips rubbed) (24pp index numbers but unpaginated). Slight cracking to one board & inner hinge of endpaper pulled, but scrim not broken, with illustrations of toys (eg. Ark, dolls, bear, Mr.Punch etc). Nice touches of art nouveau influence on each of the color surrounds to the full page illustrations. Petherick's style is not the usual Nister house trademark being stronger and influenced by John Hassal's bolder crisper work. A neat tight clean copy (Hunt 116).
