Newer end papers and probably recased professionally. Small silver stain to one page which has affected a few pages before & behind but all less than half centimeter thus not anywhere near any print. A nice tight copy of a fascinating book. *Fireworks, Early photography, scientific amusements (chemical, balloon travel, deaf/dumb language, sports, riding, fencing, fireworks, magic conjuring, riddles, billiards, American baseball, golf, croquet etc.) This edition "thoroughly revised and partly re-written".
