A companion volume of the Caxton text was also edited by Joseph Jacobs and published by Nutt but the two are usually catalogued separately as both are entirely complete in themselves. *Jacobs' History of the Aesopic Fable which includes the influences from India and Oriental fables and a long section on Aesop in England is a thorough study of the influences of earlier fables on Caxton's compilation. This copy is partly Uncut unopened.The titlepage has a small erasure to blank area and there is sl.edge browning not extending into the margin. An in depth study
